Directions

By RoadFollow signs from M5 to Torquay, take A379 toward Teignmouth, turn left a traffic lights signposted Shaldon stay on the A379 (signposted Torquay), turn sharp left into Steep Hill, signposted Maidencombe Village, Beach and The Thatched Tavern, we are at the bottom of the hill on the left-hand side. Park either on Road or in Car Park (no charge to residents). From Torquay follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for John Glanvilles garage on right hand side, turn right down Steep Hill. There is a signpost to the Thatched Tavern on the main A379 road at the top of Steep Hill. Please note that the A379 was formerly the B3199 and may still appear as such on some maps.
